Dashboard
The dashboard is your home page. It lists your standalone documents and your projects for the current workspace.
How to reach it
Section titled “How to reach it”Click Home at the top of the sidebar, or open the app root. Sidebar rows filter the dashboard: Starred and Archived under Projects, and Whiteboards, Documents, Diagrams, Beat Boards, Slides under Documents.
Documents zone
Section titled “Documents zone”Standalone documents that are not attached to any project. Each card shows a thumbnail, the title, a type badge, and when it was last updated.
- Create: click New Document in the top bar and pick Whiteboard, Diagram, Beat Board, Slides, or Document. The new document opens immediately with a title like Untitled Whiteboard.
- Card menu (hover, then the three dot menu): Rename, Turn into Project, Archive (or Unarchive), and, for archived documents, Delete permanently.
- Select several: hover a card and tick its checkbox. A bar appears with Select all, Turn into Project, Delete, and Clear selection. Press Esc to clear the selection.
- Folder chips: if you have document folders, filter chips (All plus one chip per folder) appear above the grid. Folders themselves are created and managed on a project’s Documents page.
Turn a document into a project
Section titled “Turn a document into a project”- Open a document card’s menu and choose Turn into Project (or select several documents and use the bulk bar).
- In the Start Production dialog, set the Project title.
- Click Create Project. The documents are linked into the new project and you land on its Documents page.
Projects zone
Section titled “Projects zone”Project cards show the cover, title, a status pill (Pre-Prod, Production, or Post-Prod), the date range or No dates set, and scene and shot counts. Projects shared with collaborators get an accent ring.
- Open: click the card.
- Star: click the star on the card to pin it to the Starred view.
- Card menu: owners get Rename, cover actions (Add cover, Replace cover, Remove cover), Archive or Unarchive, and, when archived, Delete permanently. Collaborators who do not own the project get Leave project.
- New Project card: a dashed tile at the end of the grid. Click it to open the project wizard, or drop a brief file on it to create a project from the brief (the label changes to Drop to create from brief). See Import a brief.
Archiving and deleting projects
Section titled “Archiving and deleting projects”- Archive asks for confirmation: archiving removes all collaborators from the project and frees their seats on your plan. You can restore the project later, but collaborators must be re-invited.
- Archived projects live in the Archived sidebar view. Unarchive restores one instantly.
- Delete permanently is only offered on archived projects. You must type the exact project title, then click Delete forever. This cannot be undone.
Quick Ideas and To-Do
Section titled “Quick Ideas and To-Do”Two widgets on the desktop dashboard:
- Quick Ideas: click Capture, type into “What’s the idea?”, and press Save (or Cmd Enter). Ideas can be archived, restored, or deleted from their row.
- To-Do: click Add, type into “What needs to be done?”, and press Add. Tick items to complete them; completed items collect under Completed. Rows can be dragged to reorder.
You can also capture ideas and todos from the sidebar plus button if you set it to Quick Idea or Quick To-do (see Navigation and search).
Workspaces on the dashboard
Section titled “Workspaces on the dashboard”The workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar changes which workspace’s documents and projects you see. See Projects and workspaces and Manage workspaces.
Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”Workspace viewers see the dashboard read only: no create buttons, no card menus with edit actions.
