Shot List
The Shot List is where you break scenes into shots and track their production details.
How to reach it
Section titled “How to reach it”Open a project and click Shot List in the sidebar.
Switch between Table, Rows, and Cards with the view switcher in the top bar. Phones always show the card layout. You can enable or disable views for the page in the workspace customization panel (right-click the page background and choose Customize workspace).
Scenes
Section titled “Scenes”- Create: click Add Scene in the top bar (in Cards view there is also a dashed Add scene tile at the bottom).
- The Add a scene dialog has Scene name, Setting (INT, EXT, INT/EXT), Time of day (Day, Night, Dusk, Dawn, Golden hour, Blue hour), Page count (in eighths), Story day, Location name (optional), and Address (optional) with autocomplete and a map preview.
- Edit: the pencil icon on the scene header, or Edit scene in the scene menu.
- Duplicate scene copies the scene and recreates its shots with fresh numbers. Delete scene removes the scene and all its shots after a confirmation; this cannot be undone.
- Reorder: drag the scene header grip in Table view.
- Collapse: use the scene chevron, or Collapse All / Expand All in the Display popover.
Scene numbers come from the linked script scene when one exists, otherwise from the scene’s position. See Scenes, shots, and versions.
- Create: the Add shot row or card at the end of each scene. New shots are numbered automatically.
- Edit: click any cell to edit inline. Type, Angle, Move, Camera, Lens, Frame Rate, and Aspect Ratio are comboboxes: pick a suggestion or type any value. Each combobox lets you save values to your own list (Save ”…” to my list).
- Status: click the status ring to cycle through none, in progress, and completed.
- Sound and VFX are toggle dots. Description and Notes are text fields. Duration is free text.
- Cast: the Cast cell opens a picker (“Search or add character…”) where you link project cast to the shot, or add a new character to the project on the spot.
- Image: attach a storyboard frame with the upload button, or draw one on a built-in canvas with the pencil button. Click a thumbnail to view it full screen.
- Delete: the row menu’s Delete, or select shots and use the bulk bar. Deletes are permanent.
- Reorder and move: drag shots within a scene or into another scene. A shot moved to another scene gets a new number there.
- Bulk edit: select shots with the row checkboxes; the bar offers status buttons (None, In progress, Completed), Delete, and Clear.
- Reveal in Script: shots created from the script have a row action that jumps to their script line.
