Create a project

  1. On the dashboard, click New Project in the top bar (or the dashed New Project card in the Projects grid).
  2. In the Initialize Project wizard, enter a Project Name. Optionally pick a Project Type and Project Stage (or Custom… for your own), and the Default Currency. Click Next.
  3. Optionally set Shoot Dates, Director, Director of Photography, and Aspect Ratio. Click Next.
  4. Review the Digital Spec Sheet and click Create Project.

You land on the new project’s overview.

Other ways to start a project:

  • From documents: on a dashboard document card, choose Turn into Project, name it in the Start Production dialog, and click Create Project. Select several documents first to bundle them into one project.
  • From a brief: drop a brief file onto the New Project card. See Import a brief.

If your plan’s project limit is reached, an Upgrade required dialog appears instead of the wizard. Archive old projects or upgrade to continue. See Billing and usage.
